Timeless Botanical Beauty, Made to Last
Description
Bring timeless decorative art to everyday planning with the Hobonichi HON A5 V&A Series – Vine. Created in collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), London, this planner features William Morris’s celebrated 1873 “Vine” design, depicting ripe grapes surrounded by lush foliage.
Printed on a canvas-like material to recreate the character of traditional hand-printed wallpaper, the cover faithfully captures the original artwork’s underdrawing lines and subtle color variations. The lightweight hardcover offers comfortable structure with slight flexibility, while an elegant gold foil William Morris quote adds a refined finishing touch. Made in Japan, it beautifully combines historic artistry, quality materials, and thoughtful craftsmanship.

The binding of the "HON" notebook uses the same "thread-stitched binding" method as the Hobonichi Techo notebook itself,
allowing it to lie flat at 180 degrees . It stays flat without needing to be held down by hand. The notebook itself uses "Tomoe River," a thin, lightweight, and durable paper specifically for notebooks. It is characterized by its smooth writing feel and easy ink absorption. Bonus pages at the back include the standard "My 100," "Favorites," and "About the 24 Solar Terms" in the Japanese version, as well as newly added "Opening Phrases for Diary Writing," "Sign Language to Remember," and "Hobonichi's Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Guide" in the Japanese version, and the standard "My 100," "Favorites," and "365 Days Check-Off Sheet," as well as newly added "Phrases to Break That Writer's Block," "Hard-to-Translate Japanese Words," and "Hobonichi's Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map" in the English version. HON also comes with a special underlay sheet featuring a 5mm grid design . *As of the 2027 edition, the underlay sheet is sold separately.
